The Hang Lung As One volunteer team organized a guided tour of Tai Po for a group of more than 30 secondary school students from Tsuen Wan on September 24 (Saturday). The in-depth visit took in a number of Tai Po's historic spots including the Old Tai Po Police Station, the Old District Office North, the Hong Kong Railway Museum, Man Mo Temple and Kwong Fuk Bridge, among other sites. Also joining the tour was Independent Non-Executive Director Anita Fung and Hang Lung architects, who took on the role of docents and set out to inspire students to have a better understanding of Tai Po, an important bazaar town of the northeastern New Territories even before the 19th century. Fung said, "Although it has become very easy for us to search for any historical information on internet nowadays, the hands-on experience in visiting every historic spot and listening to all the stories is simply irreplaceable."
