Another Landmark in Kowloon East 267

    The Hong Kong government is looking to transform Kowloon East into another premium commercial and business district of the city with new infrastructure and facilities. The latest landmark, the East Kowloon Cultural Centre (EKCC) located next to Amoy Plaza, held its foundation stone laying ceremony on December 8 (Thursday). Chief Secretary for the Administration of the HKSAR Government Carrie Lam, Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kongwah, Kwun Tong District Council Chairman Bunny Chan, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li and Director of Architectural Services Leung Koonkee officiated the ceremony. Hang Lung's Assistant Director (Leasing & Management) Mary Yan and Senior Manager (Leasing & Management) Helen Lau attended the ceremony on behalf of the Company to witness this important milestone.

     

    Located at the junction of Ngau Tau Kok and Kwun Tong roads, the EKCC will be equipped with facilities for various cultural activities and is expected to be completed in late 2020 and operational in late 2021.
