Halloween is a festive favorite for people of all ages. Everyone can find something they love, from the candies and costume parties, to the decorations and fun games. At Hang Lung, we always celebrate Halloween in style and this year was no exception with festive frolics across the whole portfolio of our shopping malls carrying the theme, Ghouls-Night-Out. At Fashion Walk, for the 4th consecutive year, our teams unleashed yet another spooky spectacular in the ever-popular Halloween Styloween, which awakened frightening yet fashionably fun characters from the dark side to roam the streets of Causeway Bay in search of spirited encounters with intrepid shoppers.

This year, our three heroes were terrors of the night, Pumpkino, Hip Hop Skelet, and Wicked Witchy. Each uniquely twisted in character, they were brought to life using technology-driven installations and interactive games, in line with Hang Lung's EST (Experience, Service and Technology) initiatives. These included highlights such as the Ghouls Party and the Witchy House. Shoppers were able to choose to transform themselves into one of the three Halloween characters and make an appearance on the mall's huge LED screen in three different scenarios and participate in a choreographed dance with their ghoulish friends. Courageous customers were also invited to step inside Witchy House for an alarming adventure with a 270° immersive projection. They were also able to design their own ghouls and project their masterpieces onto the giant screen inside the house for everyone to admire! In an exciting first, Hang Lung partnered with IN app, one of the leading selfie apps on the Mainland, for location-based, branded Halloween AR photo shoots using O2O mechanics, for over 80 million IN app users. Moreover, a partnership with Ctrip in a location-based AR game on the Mainland, featured our three main Halloween characters.

To make the festival experience the finest and the most fun, Hang Lung's shopping malls collaborated with their tenants to give shoppers a truly all-rounded experience of the spirit of Halloween throughout the month, ranging from specially-crafted Halloween-themed menus and Halloween make-up classes to pop-up stores and nearly 400 special offers during the campaign period.

The fun did not end there, Halloween would not be complete without a spot of trick-or-treating, not to mention costume parties! Each Hang Lung mall hosted its own parties and parades over the weekend approaching Halloween. Ghouls made their other-worldly presence felt as they whipped up the excitement to a thrilling climax for all our shoppers. The parades lured crowds of people who dressed up in Halloween-themed costumes to join in the fun. There was also fun for all the family with Halloween-themed workshops for children and adults like the ghoul experience workshop with Zombies Paradise, and special food and beverage offerings at our restaurants. Tenants also participated in trick-or-treating to add to the whole ambience.

To share the festive joy, The Peak Galleria held the annual Halloween Go event with the Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society on October 28 (Saturday), which included a four-kilometer charity walk. There's no better way to enjoy the fun of Halloween than by helping a good cause, and all the proceeds from the Halloween Go event will be donated to support the Community-based Support Service for Persons with Acquired Disability.

Shoppers were also able to take home customizable, themed souvenirs such as tote bags and t-shirts, among other exiting gifts, and bring home a memento of their Halloween fun with Hang Lung … a sweet reminder of happy times and not to forget to join the Hang Lung Halloween festivities next year!
