When the subject of sustainability comes up, many people talk the talk, but perhaps not all of them actually walk the walk. Hang Lung, however, does both.

With the goal of ironing out a sustainability roadmap for use up to the year 2030, and to gauge the views of senior executives on various aspects of sustainability, the Company's Sustainability Steering Committee chaired by Executive Director Mr. Adriel Chan held a Sustainability Roadmap Innovation Workshop on April 17 (Tuesday), seeking out the views of over 30 senior executives on this crucial topic.

At the three-hour workshop hosted by PIE Strategy Limited, a comprehensive and in-depth discussion was carried out on a wide variety of sustainability issues. These included population growth and urbanization, climate change, stress on water supplies, the waste crisis, health and wellness, technological innovation and the ongoing transformation of the workforce.

Towards the end of the workshop, a brainstorming session was held at which the executives debated and discussed a range of ideas on various aspects of sustainable development.

Adriel gave the closing remarks to the group and presented a prize to the team whose idea received the most "likes".

Having consolidated all findings and suggestions, the Committee has already kick-started working on the important roadmap.
